Q: Why do I need Java to run Layout Planner?
A: Java is designed to allow a software application, such as Layout Planner, to be written once and used on any computer operating system which supports Java. This means you can run Layout Planner on Windows, Macintosh, Linux, or UNIX.
Q: Does Layout Planner run on a PDA with Java?
A: Not at this time. We require a full Java operating system and most handhelds and other mobile devices contain a limited subset of Java.
Q: I don't want to install Java. Is there some other way to run Layout Planner?
A: No. We felt it's more important for you to dictate what software you run on your computer, not what your computer tells you to run.
Q: I'm having trouble installing or getting Java to work on my system. Can you help?
A:You must be a Windows user because Java is already installed on Macintosh and Linux systems. Java usually installs without any problems under Windows, however we recommend you visit the official Sun Java support site for assistance with Java. Macintosh users should visit the Apple Java site and Linux users will need to consult their specific distribution vendor.
